Nepal: Back in Kathmandu (28th September 2009)

Once again I'm back in Kathmandu and the trip through the airport is the usual hassle free affair, although this has more to do with the team of bag carriers and air port assistants who direct me through the otherwise confusing maze of desks and corridors, and deal with whatever official bits need doing. I end up outside and see Claire waiting for me by our transport.

The journey from the airport to her house is considerably less congested than my last visit, and I thank her for ensuring that the roads were clear for our trip. She the informs me that it is Dashain which is the equivilent of our Christmas. The roads seem considerably better than I recalled, and there is noticably less dust.

I arrive at their house and soon find myself paired with a beer and am enjoying some of their delicious food. I manage to stay awake till nearly 23:00, which after a missed night of sleep is quite an acheivement, and reportedly only resembled a nodding dog on the odd occassion.
